AMANAY

Amanay – Asociación para la Cooperación al Desarrollo e Inclusión Social

Amanay is a non-profit youth organization dedicated to promoting social and territorial development in the Canary Islands, Spain. The association was created through the cooperation of six youth workers whose vision is to improve the territory through participatory and educational actions, aiming to increase the quality of life of people.

Our work focuses on increasing the active participation of individuals with high socioeconomic vulnerability, connecting them with society to improve their development opportunities.

Areas of Work

  • Non-formal Education & Cooperativism in environmental and social issues.
  • Creativity, Intercultural Dialogue & European Values promotion.
  • Research, Democracy & Civic Engagement initiatives.
  • Projects for Social Inclusion, especially for those with fewer economic resources.

We have an interdisciplinary team of professionals trained in social sciences, who foster the participation of vulnerable groups in social projects that broaden both formal and non-formal skills (entrepreneurship, creativity, pedagogical methods).
